The Azur 752BD user manual talks about Dynamic Range Control: There are 3 settings on, off, auto: "Auto – Play at the dynamic range specified by the disc. This option applies to Blu-ray Discs only. For other disc types no dynamic range compression is applied." I didn't know a blu-ray could specify a dynamic range ! Surely the "Pure Audio" ones ... more | |

I should correct myself. The Dynamic range control is not ON by default, it's 'auto'. from user manual: "Auto – Play at the dynamic range specified by the disc. This option applies to Blu-ray Discs only. For other disc types no dynamic range compression is applied." ... so I guess for SACDs etc it will be OFF - just as I like it. ... more |
