This is the first ever Counting Crows SACD release. And it comes with their first, most popular and, in my opinion, best album. It's one of the best 90's classic pop/rock/folk albums. All songs are deeply emotional. It's quite difficult to put in to words what each song lyric represent to me. If you don't know this album you should try it by your own. You won't be disappointed.
This is a Stereo (not 5.1) SACD release. You will not have multichannel layer and it is intended to improve dynamic range and bandwidth. There is no magic at all, the mix is almost (if not) the same as the CD version. But it's a crystal clear sound. If you already know the songs and you are the owner of decent system you will be able to surf into the details.
Anyway, recommended only for audiophiles or fans with a decent stereo system.

I must begin by fully disclosing the fact that I haven't listened to the original cd version of this album that I have for some time now, but to my ears, this SACD release sounds great. Very crisp and clean. While I would have loved a multi-channel release of this album, this stereo mix sounds very nice to me.
