Performance:   Sonics:
This is quite an odd LP, in a musical sense. The pieces have little or nothing to do with traditional Spanish music, save for "Solea". Some of the riffs can be downright irritating at times, as Gil Evans ooccasionally was on his solo LPs as well, particularly "Will O' the Wisp". In any case, this is not typical modern jazz that Miles Davis made his name with--it's more a bizarre hybrid that only fits within jazz because of the players involved.

Overall, I would recommend this more to fans of Gil Evans, especially connoisseurs of his more 'out there' work with unconventional instrument arrangements that eschew melodies in favor of avante garde texture pieces.

Sonics are good to very good, especially considering the age of the master tapes.

Performance:   Sonics:
Sonics on this album are good, but not superb. THe style of music is great for relaxation and contemplation, but has a repetative theme. The style is very unique. Still, this album provides music for those rare moods where few other albums can. I recommend it as a unique addition to your collection. Not your typical Miles Davis.

Another Miles Davis classic. A bit hard to come into sometimes but all in all a very good record.

Sound quality is pretty good, not stunning though.
Musically at least very interesting, not for everyone though.
