Hey Stephen - would it be possible for you to create a view listing all JSACD's? One can argue that they are a category in their own right - largely because they are of a somewhat different quality, look&feel, price and availability.

Thanks

You could just look by label ... SME Records, SMEJ, SMJI, Avex, Exton, Eighty Eights, Venus, Univeral (Japan), Verve (Japan) etc. I'm not sure why you'd want to separate them out. Most of these are now available from amazon.de (and elsewhere) though generally it's cheaper (and really no more hassle) to order them directly from Japan.

There is something cheaper that amazon.ja for Exton's? How do we do this? I want to order the Roman Trilogy, when it is released.

I have done that - but I am lazy and it would just be nice to have a view into your database, sorted by Country. I have some mixed experiences with ordering JSACD's with amazon.de - twice they listed them as available and after 30 days they emailed me saying that they were unable to fulfill.

Take care - this site is going great guns!

You might want to call redtrumpet.com - they have some EXTON's in stock.

I can definitely second this advice--I just got "Miles Ahead" from Amazon.jp for 31 Euros, including shipping. It would have cost me 56 Euros from Amazon Deutschland--and that's with free postage 'coz I live in Germany.

Hey JW. Are the JSACD allways better quality (sound) than the versions released i EU/US? I am most interessed in Miles Davis SACD (Kind of blue, Milestones)?

I haven't made a comparison. Some 'people in the know' have told me that (some of the JSACD) sound better, but if that is indeed the case, I doubt whether it's by a large margin.

I've found that most of the Miles Davis JSACD's, Japanese only releases, have great sound.
The ones released in both US and Japan seem to sound pretty close, though the Japanese pressed discs do sound a bit better to me.
