By any chance do you have an elevator in your house, Mr. Muzak?

And your sweeping statement that the RBCD of Stacey Kent couldn't possibly be bettered by transfer to SACD shows you really have little faith in the SACD format....

Even SACDs pressed in the early days of the format have been improved upon by utilizing better master tapes and converters.

IMO, a preposterous statement!

Stacey's rendition of "I'm Gonna Wash that Man right Outta My Hair" must have been dedicated to you, DIS!

No I do not have an elevator in my House, fortunately I can still walk up one flight of stairs how about you ?.I do have confidence in the SACD format but there are plenty of RBCD's that are excellent and just as good especially vocals. I would agree that the Stacey Kent track you have highlighted is not as good as the others ,we will probably never know if it can be improved by SACD. I note you are not interested in visting the Dark Side of the Moon, Can't say I blame you.

According to the DVD~A registry, Pink Floyd's The Wall will also be receiving the big box treatment including a 5.1 blu~ray (how far behind can the AP SACD 5.1 version be?)

I don't want to start a rumor but am acting on a hunch that The Wall will happen on SACD in the coming year.

Per EMI, while the Immersion box editions of DSOTM (27 Sep.) and WYWH (07 Nov.) will include one Blu-ray disc, the same edition of The Wall (28 Feb.) will consist of six CDs and one DVD.

Is it safe to assume the reality of The Wall on SACD will hinge on the success or failure of the WYWH SACD (07 Nov.)?

While the bulk of the current EMI Pink Floyd titles were deleted on May 10th, I believe the DSOTM SACD remains in-print.

All Pink Floyd albums are currently being remastered (yet, again) on RBCD.

Could you please stop that now. You don't like PF. You made that clear. Others like them. So what is the big deal? You are not a better person just because you like different music.

Having seen the RW concert in London, can't wait for the Blu Ray.
However Gilmour made a mess of Comfortably Numb while Dave Kilminster nailed it and I suspect it's the Gilmour version that will go into the Blu Ray.

Of course a hires version of the original album is what I would most like so lets see what happens. I suspect fans will be buying several overlapping packages as we always do for any big artist.

My suggestion is that you stay away from the thread. You obviously are writing because you want to talk about your hatred for rock or pop music. This forum is not about genres; it's about SACD and all kinds of music, not just about your insipid hatred toward PF.

If he fluffed it then i'm sure that he will overdub it before they release the BluRay...
