Dear Robert,

I've spent most of this morning listening to Haydn: Three Theatrical Symphonies - Huss, a nearly perfect recording of some entertaining but inconsequential Haydn. Since the Haydn symphonies remain practically terra incognita on sacd is it possible that you might set M. Huss and Co. loose on some of the many unavailable masterpieces?

Regards,

Bill

It is DONE!!!!!!!!!

Am presently in a sunny Kobe, Japan, and we have just finished the last chorus of the last Cantata in the Bach Collegium Japan`s cycle, in vol 55.

18 years of work, hard but happy, is over.

At the same time that I am relieved that we actually could go through with this, it will leave a big hole somewhere inside me. I am addicted to having 3 volumes of Cantatas every year.

Well, I suppose Mozart (Requiem) and other stuff will have to replace it.

Bestest from an exhausted Robert

Congratulations and thanks to everyone involved - a true magnum opus - and JS Bach might just have had a hand in it too!

John

What a labour of love - bravo.

And yes, Mozart's choral music would be a fitting continuation IMHO! (In the Levin or similar completions, not the Sussmayr pretty please.)
