As I said, I have written to Qobuz with my real name and position in order to demand an explanation, as these things could be rather damaging to us, and certainly tricks the buyer into paying for something it isn't, and never was, namely a 24/96 recording.
[...]
I hope that this will not get that far with Qobuz, but the fact that they haven't even deigned to answer me in a week speaks badly for them.
I have no problems whatsoever in cutting off anyone from selling our stuff, who doesn't live up to the very basic rules of transparency and honesty. Basta!!

Hey Robert,

It seems that qobuz has replaced the "upsampled" Studio Master files with the correct sampling rate from BIS.
So it came to a happy ending. :-)

yours,
Thomian

Hi Robert,

Since I know you want to maintain control of your listings here I'll simply point out that somehow the new Mozart Requiem recording hasn't been listed yet. Very interesting editorial choices by Masato Suzuki and superb performance by Masaaki Suzuki, BCJ, et al. Lovely recording too. Thanks for this one.

Northern Californians: BIS artist Christian Poltéra performs Dutilleux's "Tout un Monde Lointain" with the Santa Rosa Symphony this weekend, Nov 8, 9, and 10 at the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park.

Poltéra recorded the piece in 2009 with Jac Van Steen (Dutilleux, Lutoslawski - Christian Poltera, Jac van Steen). It will be interesting to hear what this young musician brings to the work five years further along.

I'll be attending the concert and will look for BIS SACDs at the merchandise table.

Dear Bill.

Correct. Our official release date is the 10th of each month. This is a November release and therefore I intend to list it tomorrow.

Thanks for the nudge - Robert

Robert:
I see that Litton/Bremen are performing Prokofiev #1 & 7 soon. Will that be one disc or 2? And please get that Scythian Suite disc out into the wild soon!

Both will be recorded, but the coupling won't be the one indicated.
The Scythian Suite will be out in March of 2015.

Best - Robert

Glad to hear it—though, I bought a CD case for the cantata series that holds exactly sixty discs, so for purely extra-musical reasons I wouldn't mind if you stopped at five volumes!

By the way, I got the recent Bach-concertos discs. It's really excellent—I don't think I've ever heard the sound of harpsichords captured so well.
