I am fairly new to SACD and i do like the sound very much, when i go to purchase these i see two sorts under the SACD heading, i understand Multi channel but not quite sure of Hybrid Stereo, i know these are not Multi Channel but how do they compare to recent remasters or normal CD recordings, or is this a con just to get you to buy something i already have in a remastered version, any help gratfully received.

The stereo signal is either an original DSD recording mixed for stereo, or is transferred from analogue or PCM. Whilst there's general agreement that DSD recordings show the medium at its best, transfers of other recordings can sound really excellent. This can be attributed to care in remastering and also to the fact that DSD will preserve the original better. The reviews here will give you an indication as to which transfers are the more successful. Try a few on your system to judge whether you consider duplication of titles you already own worthwhile.

From the Title Details page or Title Reviews page, click on "add review" after the details and at the top of the reviews (if any). After you've entered a review, this will change to "edit review" so you can fix typos etc.

Also the "Hybrid Stereo" part means that the disc contains a dedicated "redbook" or regular CD track so it can be played on a normal CD player. SACDs without the Hybrid designation can only be played on SACD capable players.
