I am not sure if i am correct in what i think i read:

the new releases SA-CD.net listed are double CD`s ( like an deluxe edition )

Here my first problem:

Is CD 1 a "normal" CD and only CD 2 in 5.1 ?

Second point:

In addition i saw on Amazon "Music for the masses" listed as a 1 CD SACD, but couldn`t find any informatuon that all re-issues are available this way. Sometimes the Amazon informations are completely wrong.

Maybe someone can brighten.

No, the first CD is a hybrid. The second disc is a DVD.

From what I had read on depeche mode's site, they re-issued them as both:

1 single CD reissue (no SA-CD)
2 disc Deluxe with 1 SA-CD and 1 DVD

You will need to spring for the Deluxe ones to get the SA-CDs.

There are listings on amazon.de (and probably elsewhere) showing just a single SA-CD but I'm not sure this is correct. The links from this site all point to the same SA-CD + DVD Collector's Edition.

Thanks and yes, i got today more quickly as expected the 1 - CD version from Amazon and it is .... the normal re-issue. I contacted them to correct it.
Disappointing anyways because the last 4 tracks regarding the last CD issue are MISSING. Same with Speak & Spell ! So the best is you pay the 5 EURO more and buy the Deluxe Edition. Dunno what rode them not to tape all tracks, weak.

WARNING!!
Stay away from the European releases unless you only care for the SACD disc
Be aware that the DVD is PAL and will not play on NTSC!!
From what I found the US release (I believe) is in June. If I am wrong there is no doubt I will be corrected.

A must for any Depeche Mode fan!

Sonicly has improved & the multichannel side of it is really good too! (yet to compare SACD vs DTS)

Good value too! Great to know more is coming out in June/July...

This confused me too, It even says on the front of the collector's reissues " CD + DVD". It does however have the SACD logo (although its a wee bit small) on the back of the box.

Violator is orgasmic on 5.1 SACD.

Well, I got all 3 SACD/DVD combos, and as I don't have a need for DTS surround sounds when I have SACD, I'm willing to trade the DVDs! I used to rewrite PAL DVDs in NTSC -- and a rewrite removes DVD zone restriction as well -- but nowadays it's easier to just get a multiformat, multizone DVD player (for under $100) -- and still I'd have no need for it except comparing DTS surround to SACD.

It says the DTS 5.1 surround is 96/24. Can someone please report on the sonic difference between these DTS and SACD reincarnations?
