According to Analog Planet - ORG announced that Jeff Buckley's excellent "Grace" album will be release on SACD(no word on Stereo or MCH) in late 2013 or early 2014:

" ORG announced today an upcoming series of double 45rpm 180g releases from the Sony/BMG catalog including Jeff Buckley's now classic Grace as well as Shawn Colvin's A Few Small Repairs, Charlie Mingus's Tijuana Moods, Gershwin's Piano Concert/Cuban Concerto with Earl Wild and Arthur Fiedler and The Boston Pops (Living Stereo LSC-2586), and two superb Jascha Heifetz recordings Dvorak Cello Concerto with Piatagorsky and Munch conducting the BSO (LSC 2490), and Bruch Scottish Fantasy/Vieuxtemps Violin Concerto with Sir Malcolm Sargent conducting the New Symphony Orchestra of London (LSC 2603). This last one, engineered by the legendary Kenneth Wilkinson is among the finest Heifetz recordings.
The Mingus and Buckley titles will also be available on SACD as will be an SACD version of Monk's Dream recently issued by IMPEX on 180g vinyl.

ORG expects these titles to be released "late 2013 into early 2014".

Fantastic news. I have three of the ORG SACDs (with a fourth on the way) and I can attest to the superb remastering.

Grace is a modern classic and deserving of a hi res SACD release.

Just don't expect multichannel. ORG is a stereo reissue label.

Just to confirm I heard from ORG and there is no PCM conversion in the chain on the SACD, everything is being done in analogue until DSD conversion.

They are working with analogue tapes provided by Sony. They could not say whether the original recording was 100% analogue however, but still this is good news.

A few years ago, SONY released a two disc RBCD remaster of Grace and I read somewhere that Jeff Buckley's widow was NOT happy with the sonic results. But the disc was pretty comprehensive and included some wonderful bonuses from the original recording sessions. Wonder if ORG will release bonus cuts on this SACD, as well?

Any info, dolbyblue?

With Kevin Gray responsible for ORG's remastering, we can buy with confidence.

Am in total agreement, Tom. Have 4 ORG SACD remasters and they are uniformly SUPERB!

On other Forums there is talk that ORG is halting plans to move forward with SACD after only 4 releases (Coltrane, Coleman, Rollins and Sly Stone).

Does anyone here have inside information about this?

I know ORG had a few more Coltrane SACD releases announced (Ole Coltrane comes to mind) and it has disappeared from music direct's upcoming list.

Would be a shame since their SACD releases were superb.

Perhaps AF or AP will release Grace.

The ORG SACDs that I have sound great and I would continue to purchase but I guess I will not get the opportunity. Too bad.
