I just got my copy last night and had been listening to the disc since this morning (and its way pass lunchtime now!).

I think JP has a 'funny, boyish voice' (in a nice way) which at first I thought I would not like (my first album of his is "My Blue Heaven"); but it grows on you - and that I value very much. His guitar playing and that of GS/Ensemble is without a doubt, excellent.

I have a 2CH-ONLY system :) because it feels strange listening to music behind me :| and this album sounds technically 'right' that it actually seems to transport me in the playing venue. I have several GShearing LPs (I'm an analog guy first) and each of them I have elevated to 'reference level' in my system; this SACD adds another album in that personal category.

This is one album I would recommend EVEN to CD-only systems because the recording is simply great  that I feel it will be your loss if you miss this.
