This was one of the first SACDs and for a long time was considered the best recorded pop/rock SACD.

I'm biased. This was my first Stones album and I only owned one other, Beggar's Banquet. I've played it hundred's of times. I had to buy this SACD and I love it. I've now listened to this at least 20 times--usually in my car. Can't compare to the album. I lost it over 20 years ago.

Ritchie was before my time, but I'm familar with several of his greatest hits. I find listening to this a journey back to the 1950's. The producer did everything possible to include as much music as possible.

I love Bob Marley, and much Ragae music. This album is recorded well, but it just doesn't seem to have the impact of original Marley material. There's nothing I can put my finger on, but if I judge it by how often I play the album, it's a stretch to rate the performance 3 stars. |

This is well recorded. In regards to the performance, I tend to like modern jazz, so this performance is a little too traditional for my taste. I'm sure that others love it. It might not be fair for me to rate the performance. |
