Performance:   Sonics:
Well Im eating my words re Telarcs sacd discs now.
Im not going to compete with the previous review except to say
that Its gets five stars for recording even though its still got that trademark bass drum
plumbed in.maybe 4 and half for performance but 5 went through my mind as well.
Performance wise this is as English (or UK) as you want of any of the performances.
The major work of Brittens is only just short of the composers and Previns outstanding versions. The novelty piece of hree screaming popes is Different and acceptable. Both Elgars very nicely done and played. The other two 12/13 minutes works add variety.
Looks like I will have to look at some of their other interesting stuff now.Normal CD Case?
