No, but for $75, Ritchie Blackmore ought to come to my house and personally play it for me!

That's not inflation--that's robbery!

"That Hopey-Changey thing ain't working out for ya?" Huh? Is that some not-so thinly veiled political comment?

The 'SHM-SACD has a defect that Universal Japan has acknowledged. On the song "Gates of Babylon", about 1 minute in, and lasting for about 1 second, is a loud hashing noise that obviously is not part of the music.' - from Steve Hoffman thread.

Here is a translated link to Universal Music with the details.

I agree totally and completely. $50 - $75 plus shipping for a single SACD is insane! I REFUSE, absolutely REFUSE to pay more than $30 for a single SACD including shipping. In fact I prefer to pay $15 or less, that is what most Telarc, Chesky, and other audiophile SACDs cost after a 25% discount off their $18.99 - $19.99 retail prices!

Most of the Universal USA and Europe Rock, Jazz and Classical SACDs I purchased brand new for $13.99 - $14.99 back when they were in print.

Good for you. Now that you both have made perfectly good asses of yourselves, go ahead and start your own "I Don't Want To Spend More Than $30 for a Single SACD" complaint thread and please make an honest attempt to Stay On Topic over there.

Otherwise...

Paul, if you can't be civil we'll dispense with your contributions here ... permanently. I've had complaints.
