Does anyone know a release data on Norah Jones The Fall on SACD? ... think it'll be reasonable priced?

Ever?
I appreciate your optimism.
"Feels like home" was announced for SACD (in Japan) years ago and we're still waiting for it to surface. See /showthread/6030
I hope it's "not too late" but I'm counting on nothing...

.. Wish it was going to be released on SACD. But as far as I know, those days are over.
Have you heard otherwise, DJ?
(... posting from my dupes [library] account again. whoops.)

No, I haven't heard of any release.
Now that I've thawt about it, I see her last CD didn't make it to SACD. Yikes. So this one won't be on SACD unless it is commercially successful.
But I am gonna get the vinyl. Isn't that a shame? That vinyl sells better than SACD.

You got that right. According to Rolling Stone Magazine, Vinyl sales have increased 37% over last year.

It's just a hunch but I bet SACD sales have too. Not as much, but I bet they have. I've got no proof of the matter but, I really wouldn't be surprised.

The Genesis Boxsets alone should have done that trick, I reckon.
I am sure the Companies do not choose vinyl over SACD for sales reasons alone but also for production costs. As far as I know it is much cheaper to produce a vinyl record as a SACD and you can sell them for a lot more as well. I am pretty sure by now, with all the SACD players out there, SACD's sell pretty much as good as vinyl but nobody knows because they are hybrids and so they are checked as CD's.

SACD and vinyl now cover seperate markets.
The majority of SACD releases contain new classical recordings, while new vinyl releases concern new pop albums as well as pop and jazz reissues.
Just compare the release list on this site and the new LP arrivals list on Acoustic Sounds
http://store.acousticsounds.com/index.cfm?get=results&NewArrivals=true
For that reason alone, it's difficult for SACD sales to compete with LP sales. Even a minor pop group sells more albums than most classical music stars.
The appeal of vinyl is not only the sound but also the nostalgic and collectible value, which an SACD (just a CD with better sound) doesn't have. From a purely audiophile view, SACD is the better format, but this isn't about sound quality alone.
