In an interview conducted in May of this year, Steve Wilson made it official that the already remixed 5.1 remaster of Tears for Fears "Seeds of Love" will be released sometime in 2015.

http://www.theaquarian.com/2015/05/20/the-sonic-sorcerer-an-interview-with-steven-wilson/ Info on Seeds of Love is contained in last paragraph of interview.

As far as formats, I would assume it would follow the same prototype established by Songs From The Big Chair: box set with DVD~A 5.1 and a separate BD~A.

Absolutely cannot wait.

No crystal ball......was just perusing the posts @ QuadraphonicQuadforum and lo and behold...............Those gents over at QQ have 5.1 in their bloodlines!

Just listened recently to the remastered RBCD of Seeds and it sounded spectacular........can ONLY imagine what the Steve Wilson hi res 5.1 remaster will sound like!

Not that I have any interest in TFF, but Seeds of Love was recorded digitally, so what's to improve with a remaster, especially if it's again issued on RBCD?

Good question, fausto: I treat my discs and then feed them into my Meridian SooLoos and the rest is magic. The SooLoos replicate Meridian's $24k 808.3 Signature Reference player and really make most RBCDs sound better than they should (apodising filter, etc).

There were some 16/44.1 recorded gems which transitioned well into the hi res era: Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms, for instance, along with Paul Simon's Graceland, Bop Till you Drop (Ry Cooder) to name a few. I would also add Seeds of Love to that relatively miniscule roster of archaic digital technology. There are a few instances, even on the SooLoos, when it's a bit 'congested' but overall if you close your eyes this remains one of my very favorite pop albums and it's excitingly melodic in all the right ways.

The Steve Wilson 5.1 remaster should, IMHO, sound brilliant.....despite its modest digital origins.
