Is this the exact same disc as from the box set 'High Vibration' ?
I have read some terrible reviews of the box set: Compression, Loudness wars etc

It's strange that some people praise this set, although it's really terribly loud

It's not strange.
For one, those much younger than me have been brought up on over compressed music. So for them a more compressed version sound like what they are used to.
Also people have been taught that their opinion matters, so even though they know nothing about the issues related to audio quality, they love to post about how great they think something sounds.
The result is that when someone writes that a recording sounds great this provides no more information than someone telling me that a cup of coffee has just the right amount of sugar in it.
On the Hoffman forums people love to say that the numbers don't tell the whole story.
But if someone tells me that a cup of coffee has three sugars in it, as I like my coffee without sugar, the number tells me that I would find the coffee sickeningly sweet.
And as I love great dynamics and hate the sound of compression, that the High Vibration set has a DR of 7 tells me very accurately that I would find that it sounds terrible.

Let's first determine whether this comes indeed from the High Vibration boxset, before guessing so quickly.

It's very likely. CDJapan indicates "2013 remastering" for the box set and the discs which are now released individually.
Unless Warner was so ashamed of the box set mastering and they redid the mastering once again for the single discs ... ;-)

+1
I am always amazed by the older 2-ch stereo crowd's belief that stereo sounds so good.
Guess that's what they are used to. Hmm...

Thanks for the link, Claude. Gosh, that's a lot of red. They really are terrible statistics.
I too love great dynamics. That's why I didn't buy the box set. I'm hoping 90125 will be listenable as it wasn't the most dynamic recording to start with ?
Thanks for all the comments I will write a review when it arrives, and I'll TRY not to be too prejudice.
I love the Steve Wilson mix of the Yes Album Yes: The Yes Album If he does more Yes, I will rush out and buy without hesitation.

Ordered this the moment I saw it on eBay. I have been on a moratorium from buying new discs, but could not resist. Will review when I get it. Love this album.

I'm curious as to why you could not resist. Why do you expect this to sound better?
The DR list - http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list?artist=yes&album=90125 - says to me that the original CD pressing or the HDTracks would be the way to go.

I'd love the HD-tracks version, but us poor sods in rip-off Britain are not allowed.
