This will address the 'Symphonic Dances', for which I bought the disc. I've not yet listened to the Stravinsky. My absolutely favorite disc for determining just how transparent a system is...or isn't. I love the Dvorak and especially the Elgar Serenades, and the recording of the latter is simply the most 'see-throughable*' music recording I've ever heard. In spite of good-but-not-great multichannel sonics, this is now my favorite Tchaik. 4. For decades, Boult's 1978 recording with the LPO has been my favorite of this work, but it now has serious competition, sound- and performance-wise.
